 The NeuroRehab Institute was established in 1994 and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cognitive and neuropsychiatric disorders resulting from neurological injury and disease. Our institute is staffed by some of this country’s leading clinical neuropsychologists, physiatrists, psychiatrists, as well as cognitive and physical rehabilitation therapists. We also collaborate closely with community physicians, occupational, and speech-language therapists.
In addition to our outpatient neurorehabilitation program, NRI offers inpatient neurorehabilitation services in conjunction with Preakness Healthcare in Wayne, New Jersey. This is a specialized neurobehavioral rehabilitation unit that treats patients with severe neurobehavioral disorders as a result of acquired and traumatic brain injury. These patients typically would not be considered good rehabilitation candidates because of their neurobehavioral symptoms. However, because we are able to effectively manage their neurobehavioral disorder while enhancing their cognitive abilities, our patients are not only able to successfully participate in rehab, but they are able to attain a variety of treatment goals such as returning to school, work and their communities.
NRI accepts most health insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, and personal injury protection under many auto insurance coverage plans.
